85 Harrington Street, The Rocks.
We were engaged by GMU in conjunction with FJMT Architects and Developers TIME & PLACE, to create comparison images from 18 vantage points of the proposed design at 85 Harrington st. This is an extremely sensitive site as it falls within the heritage listed area of the Rocks, and is also visible from Sydney CBDs most iconic viewpoints, and from North Sydney across the water.
There were several stages of design revision as FJMT incorporated the feedback from GMU and supplied us with iterative updated models. We streamlined our process to be able to incorporate design revisions and return a full set of 18 updated images within a 24 hour window. This greatly expedited the design and review process, and ultimately ensured that our client was able to get the design approved in the face of multiple design criteria limitations with as minimal fuss as possible.
“Partnering with moDATA was crucial in realising our DA in this highly sensitive heritage area of The Rocks. They were able to incorporate significant design iterations quickly and efficiently. Being able to incorporate design changes to almost 30 images in a day enabled us to respond to any appeals promptly and confidentially.”
